Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii X-Original-Date: Mon, 10 Jun 2002 13:06:53 -0500 Hold the presses. I've gotten an e-mail from the author of a NASA research paper: >>>>> On Mon, 10 Jun 2002, Someone wrote: > The results of the NASA research were presented at the 1984 AIAA > Guidance and Control Conference in Seattle Washington, August > 20-23, 1984.  The title of the paper was "An evaluation and > force gradient determination of mechanically linked side stick > controllers for general aviation aircraft" I've replied asking for, among other things, his permission to post his e-mail to the list. I've also asked about obtaining a copy of his paper. I've intentionally excluded the author's e-mail address and name from this post. If he gives his permission to post his e-mail, his name will be included. The skinny is that the NASA research didn't find a significant difference. At least that's my interpretation of the author's e-mail. So maybe now those who need to can say, "Told you!" and we can drop the topic -- or at least treat it only as a matter of personal preference? p.s. I'm STILL inclined to put a second throttle in our airplane. ;-) Hey, I always said it was more a matter of personal preference for me. Thanks to those who have shared designs and/or photos of such either here or off-list. ------------------- Paul Davis Lancair Legacy builder pdavis@bmc.com Phone 713-918-1550 ------------------- Quaedam non iura scripta sed omnibus scriptis certiora sunt Some laws are unwritten, but they are better established than all written ones
