Rather than closing off discussion of this issue in it's entirety, I propose
we only close off discussion of the relative merits of left hand vs right
hand throttles. I think it's clear that we all have opinions and that's okay.
The fact remains that some people are considering installing a left hand
throttle, some people definitely intend to, and some people have already done
it. I propose we continue the discussion of how to implement such a device
-- what works and what doesn't -- and table the discussion as to the wisdom
thereof.
That is, if anyone has anything new to add....
And as a side note for Grayhawk -- way back when as an MIT student I was
amazed at the high concentration of left-handers there. (I am right-handed,
BTW.) We all wondered whether there was a correlation of left-handedness
with higher intelligence, or academic achievement, or maybe just nerdishness,
but, as you might imagine, we reached no definitive conclusions. The fact
remains, though, that the incidence of left-handedness is far above the
national average among MIT students. For what it's worth.... (Also, I'm
sorry to hear about your plane but glad you walked away and will fly it again
soon.)
