When you buy a new radio, it comes with a tray. When you buy a used
radio, the tray may or may not accompany the radio. Even within the
same manufacturer, every model of radio has it's own size and shape of
tray. Purchasing the installation kits (trays, connectors, and
hardware) is a good way to get your installation done now, while not
having to put out money for the actual radio until you are closer to
completion. We have done this for customers in the past, and it has
worked out well.
