Lancair changed their recommended wiring of power pack ground. The manual is wrong. You are right. The black wire is for grounding the relays. Avionics normally comes with a tray of standard width. Don't try to buy your trays separately. The connector that you wire to is part of the tray and it must mate exactly with the avionics connector. Bob Jude N65BJ
