George, I agree with your prediction. I sincerely hope that we're wrong.
I used to fly a Lear 25 to Europe. We'd tow it to the runway and wouldn't
start an engine until we had clearance to FL410. I'm just not sure that
everyone realizes how much fuel a turbine will burn at idle on the ground or
at low altitudes at ANY power setting.
