AFTER you have communicated with Schramek, and before you consider buying the so-called "EngineAir" engine he mentioned, (1) visit our website (www.epi-eng.com) and (2) be sure to contact me offline (jack@epi-eng.com) for the other side of the story about that particular engine: how long it actually flew, the "problems" it had (resulting from the owner thinking that he and his drag-race buddies knew more about both the engine and gearbox than did the designers), about the failures caused by the owner damaging delicate parts, etc. etc. etc.
I would also be happy to discuss the IO-550 v. EngineAir question with you further.
