I'm not sure why you are worried about grease. There is no grease used in the molding that I'm aware of. There is no grease in the building process that is used while doing layups. And I can't imagine that you would have a building environment that was riddled with grease. So....what is the problem with acetone? I've experimented with both acetone and MC. They both provide good cleaning of the parts that need to be bonded. The most important thing is not which cleaner you use, but the process that you use to create the bond. It is more important to sand and dust the area to be bonded after you use the cleaning agent. This is the recommended process in the manual. You shape, you clean, you sand, you bond. I have performed a few layups where I sanded, then cleaned, then layed up. The bond failed, even with MC. However, when you sand, clean, then sand again and then blow or brush the dust off, then layup, the bond sets everytime. I'm not sure that grease is anything to worry about. However, if I am wrong...then I'll gladly use MC instead of acetone. If you can provide any evidence that grease is a danger, please do so.
