Bob, My engine is an O-320D1F with oil splashers incorporated, making it "Experimental". My prop/engine is certified combination. My inspector is giving me 40 hours--by the book. I asked him about AD and SB compliance and he said since the engine was now experimental, I didn't have to comply with anything. Course, the smart money says otherwise.... It could be that my inspector is a bit more demanding than usual because he's getting re-certified by his DMI on my airplane! I have mixed emotions about that....
