What I have in mind is an intake box that provides for both filtered air or ram air at the pilot's option. They have a very nice setup like this on the Columbia 300 but I'm told it is not available for use on kit planes. Lancair has been promising an airbox for some time now but nothing ever happens. Yes, I could build it myself and probably will (actually someone else is building it for me) but its an essential item and you would think that Lancair would make it available.
