After much research I have found a source for light weight hydraulic
assemblies that that do not cost a fortune. These are small teflon hoses
with stainless braid covers rated at 2500 psi with brass crimped ends with
an aluminum nut. They are very light and flexible and will easily make a 3"
radius bend.
The company that made these up for me is www.bakerprecision.com the guy I
spoke to is PJ. They are a hot rod shop in Long Beach California and carry
many other brands such as aeroquip and earls.
I had these made for around $8 per hose. What a deal!
I do not have the part #'s of the hose and fittings they made for me at the
moment. I will post that in a few days when I get my invoice.
I have recently tested the hydraulic gear on my 235/320 and they seem to
work fine.
One question I have now is can I invert my project one last time for the
last ramaining body work without leaking hydraulic fluid all over the place?
I would be interested in hearing from anyone that has done that. My
hydraulic power pack is the original one sent from Lance with the 235 kit in
the late 80's.
