I have the 4-blade MT (and yes, it
looks marvelous!), which comes in at about 22 pounds lighter than the
3-blade Hartzell. Only beef is that MT did a rotten job getting the spinner
centered -- the run-out must be around a quarter of an inch!

Jim, I just balanced my 4 blade MT today and I thought it was very smooth
before. My spinner just happens to be centered perfect, however, I know of
one other that had the same run out that you have and just before it was to
go to the propeller shop they removed the spinner and retraced the #1 blade
markings and found that it was rotated, as I remember, 1 blade off. These
were very experienced people and they couldn't believe that one of them could
have done that, so maybe another look would find your problem. Good luck.
