I used Zolotone in my cockhouse and occasionally spilled a bit when topping off my brakes. I have never seen a deterioration of the paint if wiped up in a reasonable amount of time. Not to say that it won't mess up the Zolotone if allowed to sit on it for a long time, but that's true of a lot of popular finishes. I used Zolotone in my entire cockpit to save weight --- and a light Lancair is beautiful to behold in flight! I regularly fly formation with a friend with a Falco running a hopped up 180 HP injected 320 (I follow a Lyc O-235 around making about 120 HP at SL) and he regularly has to tell me to back off the throttle so he can catch up! Lancairs rule! Bottom line: light is good, Zolotone helps you keep it light.
