For all you techies out there!  Check out the latest issue of NASA tech Briefs (Feb 2002).  There is an article in there about the reduction of noise from flaps using "tip fences".  The article mentions using a Lancair IV both in a wind tunnel and in flight. Sounds like a potential mod coming up.  What does Lance have to say?
