Has anybody changed the "orientation" of the fuselage mounted section of the
nose gear door hinge (hinge part facing outboard instead of inboard the way
the manual shows it) in order to get more clearance from the nose wheel
during retraction? I'm in the process of modifying my nose gear tunnel to
allow the gear to actually fit inside (the gear fit, but the gear + the strap
+ the screws didn't). I've noticed that the gear has to be positioned pretty
far to the pilot's side of the plane to clear the hinge when the hinge is
facing inboard, as the manual shows.
