Sometimes it is hard to respond to concerns in such a way as to bring a sensible balance on the hazards in the use of chemicals without sounding cavalier. I'm not a chemist per se my self but have worked with resin systems for quite a few years, hired quite a few chemists, and set up a few labs. One identifying mark of a good experienced chemist is that he washes his hands BEFORE he goes to the bathroom.
