It has been, by far, the largest mistake of my tool purchases. It works fine, has a 60 gallon upright tank which takes up very little shop space. I have sandblasted parts with it including the entire front framework & engine compartment of my just completed '69 Chevelle SS. So what gives? NOISE!! I could have never imagined an air compressor could be so loud. It is behind an insulated wall separating my work shop from the storage area of my garage. I can not carry on a conversation on the other side of this insulated wall when the compressor is running. My entire career has been in the mechanical field so I have had exposure to shop compressors forever. I was the project manager for the restoration and relocation of a Lockheed T-33 at our local airport. During that project we used a hanger owned by the local high school for the prep & painting process. They had a new 5HP 2 stage belt drive compressor that was so quiet we could hold a normal conversation 10 feet away from it. I have often wondered how many people purchase a shop air compressor, like I did, based on price and not on total function and features. Until I got stuck with this noise pollution device, I would have never done any serious research on air compressors. Hope my experience helps someone else avoid this pitfall.
