It was looking promising until yesterday when the notam opening up the airspace to general aviation was suddenly revoked. Now it looks like general aviation will be grounded for the foreseeable future, certainly through this weekend. The following is an excerpt from the AOPA morning email: >When the security threats lessen, >first will come the approval for Part 91 IFR flying. >Then, no sooner than >48 hours later should come the restoration of VFR privileges. I'm afraid that we have no choice but to cancel the fly-in. We are sorry. We know that all of you had made plans and looked forward, as we did, to seeing our old friends and making new ones this weekend. We don't know if it will be possible to reschedule this year. If it is, we'll let you know.
