I have a shop and used some air tools in the beginning of my project, and went all electric.
Quite frankly I do not know why air is so popular. It requires about ten times the electric to do the same work, the tools often spit an oily wet spray over your work, the hoses are bulkier than wires and the equipment is more to maintain.
When I started the project I did not know electric dual action sanders were available but have since found De Walt has one. Before I found out about the De Walt I converted my air D.A. sander by adapting it to an electric angle grinder.
