Regarding the fly-in and discussion of continuing. There is a NOTAM (NOTAM
1/9853) that EAA has posted on the welcome page of their website. The way I
read it, unless further restrictions are lifted, the decision is not ours to
make. What we are hearing about in the news applies to commercial flights,
but GA flights are still grounded until further notice. Am I reading it
wrong?

[saving everyone a trip to the EAA site, here is the pertinent part
of the NOTAM dealing with GA flights:
ALL IFR AND VFR GENERAL AVIATION FLIGHTS ARE PROHIBITED WITHIN THE
NATIONAL AIRSPACE SYSTEM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE EXCEPT THE FOLLOWING
AIRCRAFT WITH APPROVAL FROM THE FAA COMMAND CENTER AT 703-787-8179 OR
703-787-8351:
AIRCRAFT OPERATING IN SUPPORT OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY, RESCUE AND RECOVERY
MISSIONS, FIRE FIGHTING OR NATIONAL EMERGENCY, LAW ENFORCEMENT,
HURRICANE EVACUATION, THESE AIRCRAFT ARE REQUIRED TO BE ON AN ATC ASSIGNED
DISCRETE BEACON CODE. THIS NOTAM CANCELS FDCD 1/9832.
