Air compressors are discussed ad nasuem on the RV lists.  I am sure you
could track down some past discussions and get specifics.  The main theme in
those discussions was to buy an oil compressor -vs.- a dry type.  The dry
type are much louder, hotter running, and generally don't last to long.
