Hi guys,

The Dogwood Lancair fly-in is next Saturday, the 15th. Here's who I'm
showing so far on our list. If you're coming and you're not on the list, or
if you're not coming and are on the list, PLEASE call or shoot me an email
and I'll enter the correction.

It's looking like a great turnout and the weather forcast is looking
perfect. Rick has race flags and Sue's going shopping for bratwurst.

Please contact Sue or Me at harrelson@erols.com  or (540) 372-8738 with any
additions, deletions or questions. Also, anyone who's planning on staying
over and hasn't confirmed with us please contact us.

Marv is looking for a ride from Florida and Brad Simmons is looking for a
ride from Tennessee. Any of you guys coming from those directions?

Just a couple of reminders: The runway slopes up toward the west. We
normally land on 27  and takeoff on 9. The runway is 4,000 feet paved. Trees
and wires on both ends. 1200 ft displaced threshold on 27 giving you 2800
feet of uphill rollout on your landing.  The CTAF is 122.7.   There are dual
roadways on the south side of the runway. Taxi on the one CLOSEST to the
runway. There is inadequate wing clearance on the outboard lane which is
used only for cars. The road on the north side of the runway is not a
taxiway, it's for cars only. After landing on 27, make a LEFT at the end of
the runway and taxi on the parallel closest to the runway. Lancairs park at
our hangar about midway down the runway, non-lancairs taxi past our house
and cross the runway at the next intersection for parking  at the east end
of the runway, north side. Dogwood Airpark is probably not in your GPS
database.
It's VA42 with coordinates of : N38 21.6  -  W077 27.0

See y'all next weekend,

Bill & Sue

[I was truly looking forward to seeing everyone at Dogwood, but I'm
afraid that work has managed to interfere once again, and I'll be
in London, Ontario for the weekend.  Sorry, gang.  I'm looking
forward to seeing lots of pictures and receiving a complete report
about how everything went.
