Good writeup on the L-235 by Thomas Low. I take exception to his comments
on IFR, though.
I think Mr. Low will find the L-235 to be an excellent IFR platform. I only
have a few hours in the L-235 (Clarence's, not mine), but actually find IFR
much easier to fly than VFR.
When I'm just cruising around under VFR in that fast little plane, it's
easy to gain or lose 500 ft. without even noticing. But when Clarence and I
flew from Titusville, FL to Pickens, SC and back [much of it under mild
IFR], it was a walk in the park to hold the aircraft rock steady on
altitude. Obviously in that situation, one is scanning the instruments
continuously and for me it was much easier to hold altitude than when
flying VFR.
There was no rolling tendency or turning tenency at all that I could
detect, either.
The L-235 is a sweet little plane. (Now if I can just get mine finished...)
