Scott, thanks for your recent post concerning proper
use of fuel pump.  I have not been doing so because
engine was running beautifully at all times without
it...but I now see the wisdom in amending my ways.

Let me know when you will be on East Coast.

I replaced my Outback gear door which had blown off
and plane is in perfect condition again.  I think I
may have told you that we traced the problem to an A&P
mistakenly turning in the pressure set screw that
controlled when the hydraulics cut off...which left
the inner gear door partially down in flight, which in
turn allowed air pressure to build up inside gear well
and blow off the larger outer gear door.  His mistake
cost me about two grand, but such is life.
