Dave,
Your several posts have made reference to the absence of a vent hole at
BL-141.
This vent hole is located mid-rib, and an aluminum tube runs from it to the
NACA vent in the wing tip.
There is a second hole in this fuel bay at BL-139. This hole is through
the spar into the cavity of the leading edge. It lets air into the leading
edge tank.
My question to you is, which hole are you referring to? I suspect you are
referring to BL-139, and if this is true, please let us know.
As to the seat belt issue, I slip the belt off my shoulder to switch tanks.
It is a non-issue with me.
In regards to the Kissimmee crash, if there was a warning that the plane
was not airworthy at one time, I would hope that the inspector would fill
us in on his observations.
