The hardener, however is the one that has limited life. Both may probably extended several times by storing in a refrigerator. Personally, I would not pitch the epoxy after a year, or even three years. Buy just the hardener after the expiration date. I have done this with Hysol, which gives off ammonia when it starts to go bad. The Teta hardener was stable in the shipping can for several years..... Storage in cold is a common practice among propellor builders, even storage of the mixed components. It is a common practice among chemists as well for unstable materials. If you are skeptical, ask the Shell tech rep at OSH about storage.
