The AC doesn't cover the subject in depth. I use a cheap Rol-aire and have to flare halfway, then rotate the tube 180deg in the die and flare to final depth. The cone doesn't line up perfectly otherwise. I just couldn't justify the expense for the better tool. The chapter tech-counselors said to ensure I remove the burrs before and scotchbrite the whole tube after bending/flaring. Over-tightening seems to be the issue with these lines. I still crack flares occasionally (usually after a complex bend and first flare.) I can't see any problems with what I'm doing, but let me know if I am. What about alodining the outside?
