   A few weeks ago, someone posted info on Gary Hall's hinge replacement
kit, which uses a thin teflon sleeve over a smaller diameter hinge pin.
This is supposed to protect the hinge from wear over time that could lead to
the need for replacement.  I bought a kit and have been completely
frustrated in my attempts to put it into my trim tab hinges.  I've tried
several suggested methods, but at the point where it gets 4-5" into the
hinge, the teflon bunches up if I try to get it in any further, rendering it
unusable, even though my existing pin moves smoothly in and out of the
hinge.  Has anyone that's successfully employed this stuff got a bullet
proof method to get it installed? I'm stumped and I've tried everything
Gary's suggested with no luck.
