On my IO550-G, I have had very good luck on hot starts by simply priming for
about half as long as for a cold start -- Throttle 1/4 inch in, mixture full
rich --and hit it. It has always started, though it occasionally may cut out
again at which time a quick pulse of the pump on "high" brings it back
immediately. Try it and tell me if it works.
