<I'm carrying 54 gallons with full
tanks and flew a 1,000 nm leg
the other day (5 hours 25 min) and landed with 2
hours fuel in the tanks.
Can any of you 360 guys do that?>
My 360 has made three non-stop's to Sun-n-Fun,
from 30 miles NW of Denver, 1360nm.
DATE FLT TIME FUEL BURN REMAINING FUEL/HRS
4/12/96 7.6 42.3 13.7 / 2.5
9/6/97 8.1 38.8 17.2 / 3.6
Low level diversions for Marginal WX in FL
4/9/01 7.7 44 12 / 2.1
Headwinds last 1/3 of route
Power setting 17" - 18", 1800 - 1850 RPM
Altitude 11500 - 13500
There are usually some good tail winds along that route, but never the entire
trip. The first trip was just a stunt to razz my RV buddies, but now I prefer
nonstop because I arrive less tired by avoiding dips into hot humid
bug-infested air.....BILL HANNAHAN
