I am installing the 550 and yes it is heavier. However, if the weight &
balance are correct and the load is at the defined CG, the plane should fly
straight and level with zero trim. The elevator trim tab affects the
landing, and climb/decent performance and I made the elevator trim tab15%
larger to take care of the trim on landing problem with the heavier engine.

It seems to me that the AOI affects the way the plane flies in cruise with
the trim tab set at zero trim (so the elevator counterbalance weights are
flush with the horizontal stabilizer). This would be the position of least
drag in cruise. At 2.5 degrees AOI (between wings and horizontal stabilizer)
and if the trim is set to zero deflection, does the plane fly without
climbing or descending at normal cruise and at about center CG loading?

Subject: ES Incidence angle

The wing incidence for the ES is +2 degrees, and the manuals I have call for
HStab incidence of 0 degrees, which makes the incidence relative to the
wings also 2 degrees.  With the IO-550 engine
