Gentlemen,
It seems that there are a lot of problems occurring due to excess adhesive (epoxy/flox or hysol) being forced out from joints as the wings are closed out with resultant plugging of critical vents or freezing of slosh doors open or closed. Is it possible to attach a 1 or 2 ply strip on either side of the cap, (arbitrarily, 1 or 1-1/2 inch on either side extending beyond the cap) joggled down the thickness of the cap to allow room for the excess to squeeze out? This would contain the adhesive at the wing skin and prevent it from falling into the cavity. I would give each strip a slight upward slant to preload it. I'm sure I have some of the terms wrong, and I may not have made myself clear. I'll make a drawing if needed. Hope this helps.
