Hello All,

I have a 320 with a bit of a pesky oil cooling problem.

In cooler temps during pattern work and in cruise, my oil temps are fine. But
when I start working in the pattern in warm summer temps, my oil temp goes up
to red line after about the first or second go.

I currently have the oil cooler up front of the number 3 cylinder (left side)
with about a 3/4 inch lip behind to help direct that air through. I am
dumping the hot air into the lower cowling and letting it exit via the
opening around the exhaust and front wheel. My CHT seems to be just fine.

Before I begin to cut gills, anyone have other options for me to consider?

Thanks for the help,
Eric Kendall
