I thought ahead and built in a conduit before closing the rudder. Now I am wondering if I need to install some sort of connector at the leading edge of the rudder to facilitate rudder removal at some point in the future. There are connectors in the Nav/Strobe light housing to allow removal of the light assembly, but if I need to remove the rudder (and I'm not sure that will ever be necessary) then I'd have to cut the wires as they exit the vertical stab spar. I could then splice them back together, but that seems like the wrong thing to do. It also seems like unnecessary extra work to add connectors that might never be used. Suggestions and ideas to solve this will be greatly appreciated.
