Low Tech digital: I had an early instructor who taught me to always point at
the tow bar when attached.  I probably look silly during those rare
occasions but not much more than usual!

High Tech Digital: I think Bob Wolfstenholm (I KNOW I've butchered his name)
had a micro switch on the tow bar stowage to indicate when the bar was not
in place... Seemed like a pretty slick idea.
