I placed my exits on the sides of the cowlings carb airbox bump, with
openings just behind the carb airbox and ramps extending to the trailing
edge. if you need to dump the air down low, that area seems like it would
have the lowest pressure at high angles of attack when you need cooling the
most, though I have not tested it. Also, if you speed up air going past the
opening in the bottom of the cowl, it should draw additional air out of that
opening as well.
