All along I
have been going with the "stock" injectors (Denso 195500-2010). These
came with my junk yard engine. I had them cleaned and tested at ~440
cc/min.
I'd been
interested any anyone's comments on re-sizing and whether different injectors
will fit in the same fuel rails and dumb questions like
that...:-)
I'm glad you made a new thread out of this,
because it saved me the trouble :-)
I'm also interested in the injector sizes that most
folks are using, as well as the max duty cycle you see at full throttle.
In the 3rd gen RX-7 world, the stock injectors are 550 primary, and 850
secondary, and these are known to be good for up to about 320 flywheel
HP at around 80% duty cycle. If you want to play with the
numbers, here's a neat link to a fuel calculator:
In researching my current injector size (I bought 4
almost new injectors a while back), I found the following identification
info. This was on the RX-7 Club forum, so I can't guarantee it's
accuracy. I have 4 of the purple -2020's, but they won't work with the
Atkins supplied throttle body.
Is there a limit to what size, or type (high or low
impedance) injectors you can use with Tracy's ECU? I should really try to
find my manual :-)
