Taking that flow chart and trying to back engineer the engine operating parameters here is what I get ratio Boost psi lbm CFM RPM 1.5 7.35 10 87.7193 1894.736842 1.7 10.29 20 175.4386 3789.473684 1.8 11.76 26 228.0702 4926.315789 as possible operating parameters for the RX-7 engine (single turbo pre 1993 Rx-7). We know throught SAE papers that the Mazda engineers tailored the post 1987 turbos to boost performance at the lower rpms. So this might well be a close match to the compressor map for the Ht 18. Do these boost rpm parameters look close to any of your turbo Rx-7 drivers with models between 1987 and 1993???? Looks like you would get lots of boost at fairly low rpms with this turbo on a rotary.
