A discussion of john's turbo failure, along with pictures, is occurring at

I thought to mention to this group that I have been told the Hitachi ht-18 (john's)turbo is very close to a garret t3 50 trim.
Can any one verify or rebut this?
I include a copy of the compressor map for your edification.
