I also drilled through the center
scroll as well during my rebuild as per the ATS guys.
Which one is the
"central scroll" ? Is it the divider between the two openings under the
wastegate?

Yes that is the center scroll... or at least that what I
thought it was? Works good anyways. I enlarged the stock waste gate to ~1" and
drilled 5/8" through the scroll. Mine is a series 4 turbo
