Al,
I have heard two different theories on oil cooer/filter locations=2E So= me=20 propose going through the cooler first, to make sure nothing in the cooler c= omes=20 into the engine, and others (you included) advocate filtering before the coo= ler=2E=20 I am confused -- Tracy/Ed, what did you do? Gee; Kevin, thanks a lot=2E How could you forget where such a beautiful piece of work came from?

It is not an oil filter adapter, i= t is a filter bypass block; which means that it replaces the filter attachment block= on the engine so you came put an adapter and larger filter somewhere upstrea= m=2E=20 It is good to put the filter upstream from the cooler to reduce possible slu= dge buildup in the cooler (assuming we should be so lucky to fly our planes long= enough for this to happen)=2E I got a remote dual filter mount from Racing Beat, but Earl=92s sells the same thing=2E It comes in either dual or single filter=2E
