I was concerned most about the oil, because I have my red line set at 240, and 233 isn't that far below.  I had considered retracting the front gear to what improvement that would show, but decided it was too hot to continue, so I landed.

 
Good decision.  The spec for oil is considered to be 210 max as it goes into the engine.  I've certainly pushed 240, as has Ed, and probably others, but be happy that you got away with it so far, and don't do it again :-)  Unfortunately, this is standard teething pains.  What sort of oil cooler do you have, ducting, etc?  Pics?  If you need a nice Setrab, I'm having a hanger sale :-)
