Greetings,
As you may recall, I bought
one of the RX-7 Specialties engines, and recently sent it to Bruce for
rework. Adam at RX-7 Specialties warned me to flush out the water
jackets of the engine, because he had found some rust inside an engine he
took apart. Well, I think it might take more than a quick flush to clean
this out. Here is a picture that Bruce sent from my engine that he
reworked. Yep, there's rust alright. If you have one of these
engines, it's probably worth taking it apart to clean this up. I really
wonder how long these engines sat around.
