Hi, fellow rotary enthusiasts....I have also been searching for a good heater for my 13B powered SQ2000.  I came across the following that looked to have promise. The first is heater cores made for the boating industry. See www.boatelectric.com/htrcraft.htm  or search for heatercraft.
Next, JC Whitney has several models comprising of a heater core in an aluminum box with a 2-speed fan, with an optional defrost setup. ( I suspect just scat tubing and a diverter). Log onto the JC Whitney site, and click on AC, Heating and Ventilation,  then click on Auxillary Heaters. These heaters are often used to bring heat to the rear seats in large vans, and on project cars, of course.
I figure if they work in cars, they might just do the trick for my aircraft, also. Just my two cents worth.   Paul Conner, Mobile, Alabama
