Hi Perry,

     Yes, the 3/8" pipe near the coolant temp sensor port on the rear housing
is the heater outlet.  That is under pressure so you want to return the
heater flow to an area of low pressure such as the inlet to the pump, do not
return it to the thermostat side as that, of course, is still under some
positive pressure from the pump..  The auto (at least one year) had a return
fitting near the radiator.

A bit embarrassed to even be asking this but when it's -30 outside these
questions just keep running through your brain.
Last week I learned the hose fitted by the oil temp & pressure sensors in
actually the heater OUTLET so now I've gotta ask where the hell is the
heater INLET?  or was there some kind of Y-fitting on the lower rad hose
in
the car?
