    While I used the injector diffusers in several of my manifolds, the manifold I am currently using does not used them.  My injectors are approx 6" from the open ports.  So while they are probably useful in better atomizing the fuel spray (while else would Mazda put them in?), they are certainly not critical so far as I can tell.

I was about to complete the installation of my fuel rails and remembered the sprayers.  their additional length totally ruins what I have fabricated at this point.  how necessary are they?  the part I am referring to originally fit in the intake airstream just below the injector consisting of a small disk full of holes, sort of a target for the injector.  my guess is that it help atomize the fuel spray.  since these injectors are way upstream of the rotor do you think I can get by without them?
