I think the most important thing that I changed was the injector staging.  Because my injectors are different sizes (550cc stock turbo and 52lb/hr TWMs that rusty tested and said they don't even flow that well)

I had the MSD / Rochester (sold by TWM) injectors tested, and they flowed exactly what they were supposed to, as did the stock Mazda injectors.  At the time, I couldn't come up with an explanation of why they seemed to be so lean compared to the stock injectors.

Well, now that I've had some time to think about, and some experience with distantly placed injectors, I believe it wasn't the injectors fault, so much as the fact that the MSD injectors were about 14 inches away from the port, around a few turns.  I'm really beginning to believe that fuel must be injected close to the port to get the best efficiency.  Sigh... a new intake is becoming a high priority task.

Glad you're running better now.
