Here are recent photos (oct 2002) of my exhaust pipes arrangement.
The engine is stronger with these longer pipes (the upper one is 31" long
from the exhaust port to the oxygen sensor, the lower one is 4.5" longer)
and the exhaust noise is correspondingly more aggressive. Looking for a
practical way to tame that exhaust noise, I built an exhaust collector which
holds the Oxygen sensor and into which the exhaust sound suppressors slip
more or less loosely.The SS flexible exhaust tubings slip over the twin
pipes of the collector holding the exhaust suppressors.
The collector is homebuilt with exhaust parts from Canadian Tire.
