...disappointed in the seminar. Hmmm, glad to hear that. I was considering
going to the one in Ft Worth in May (esp. at $150....EAA is almost $300).
Seems I heard it was pretty good, but that actually may be more regarding
the book and I just lumped the seminar in with it.
I attended the EAA class on avionics/electrical in Dallas last year. It was
not bad....not great, but did give me some closer to real world experience
for aviation that I did not have from years of patching together two wires
with electrical tape in my 'ol 65 Mustang Convertible <g>

I will add that I was disappointed in the seminar. bob spent a lot of time
talking about his prior employment and such, which is entertaining, but I
hadn't paid for that. there never was a sample firewall/panel to look at
and too much time spent on V=IR type stuff. you do go home with a CD and
schematics, but that jump from schematic to actual parts was missing and it
can be hard when you are unaware of what products are available to solve
certain problems. bob and paul L. have many similarities, both quite
opinionated and experienced. the self-employment comes as no surprise.
