Thank you, Perry. I'm on it.

I would like to clear up one misconception, though.
I don't want to start an off topic flame war, but
I've heard this several times and it's the sort of
thing that tends to confuse and restrict people.

Algorithms can not be copyrighted. You can read a
book and publish everything you've learned on the
internet, as long as you don't copy several pages
verbatim. You can even reprint all the equations.
This is a right in the US that is protected by the
CONSTITUTION.

There is another consideration, and that is that
Martin Hollman spent a lot of time writing a book
for a very limited market. He deserves his wages,
and if I can't get it from him direct, I'll buy it
from Aircraft Spruce (I assume his cut is larger
with AS' markup). Giving a workhorse his due is a
very valid concern, but 'copyright infringement' is
a red herring.

The "algorithms" aren't that simple and I don't want to take the time to try to put it in a form to upload to this forum. The program is based on blade element theory which you can probably find in many textbooks, and if you wanted to, you could make your own program from scratch that would do the same thing as this program. If I uploaded the program itself, that would surely be copyright infringement.

Anyway, if you get the book, you also get to read about all the underlying theory.
