Did you use black(bare) or galvanized? So if it is 2" od it must be called
1 3/4? I didn't realize there was such a size. It isn't 2" ID is it?<<<

Allo! I can give you precise measurements as I measured a spare piece of
pipe that I have in hand. I,D.=2.0"
O.D.=2.3" and wall thickness is 0.16"
The material is common steel, black or galvanized. I buy and use whatever is
less costly. These pipes and bends 45 and 90 degrees bends are available at
most hardware stores and plumbing supply stores. In my area they are less
costly at hardware stores, especially Canadian Tire.
Now, the flexible SS tubing is obviously more that 2" I.D. So it must be
2.25" I"D". It will slip over the water pipe if you wiggle it gently and
patiently. Also, try twisting it very gently. It is flexible so it also has
some give in twist motion.
Yvon.
